Our services

What we offer

The services below cover the full range of mental health care offered at Flora Foundations – therapy, counselling, assessments, and nurse practitioner support – for individuals, couples, and families in Newfoundland and Labrador. Online therapy also available for anyone in Canada.

Individual Therapy & Counselling

One-on-one therapy for adults working through anxiety, depression, burnout, life transitions, or self-esteem, with therapists who draw on cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and acceptance-based approaches; sessions are available in person at our St. John’s clinic or virtually anywhere in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Couples Therapy

For partners working through conflict, communication breakdowns, intimacy concerns, infidelity, or a major life shift, with the goal that both partners feel heard and leave with practical tools for repair, whether you’re dating, engaged, married, or rebuilding.

Family Therapy

For families dealing with conflict, parenting challenges, blended-family dynamics, the mental illness of a loved one, or shared grief, with sessions shaped around your family’s makeup and goals and focused on improving communication and rebuilding trust at home.

Trauma Therapy & EMDR

For trauma, PTSD, and difficult past experiences, including childhood trauma, accidents, medical events, and relational harm, we offer EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) alongside trauma-focused talk therapy, with sessions moving at your pace.

ADHD Assessments

Diagnostic ADHD assessments for adults and youth across Newfoundland and Labrador, using an evidence-based process structured to fit into your life and ending with a clear diagnosis and practical recommendations you can use.

ADHD Clinical Services

Ongoing care after an ADHD diagnosis, including treatment planning, medication consultation through our nurse practitioner team, and therapy for co-occurring concerns like anxiety or burnout. Designed for clients of all ages.

ADHD Coaching

Practical support for managing ADHD day to day, including time management, organization, follow-through, accountability, and skill-building tailored to how your brain works. This can be a good fit alongside or after diagnosis, with or without medication, and is designed for clients of all ages.

Autism Assessments

Diagnostic autism assessments for adults and youth across Newfoundland and Labrador, including intake, structured evaluation, and a written report with a clear diagnosis and practical, actionable recommendations.

Internal Family Systems

For clients drawn to a parts-based approach to therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS) views the mind as a collection of distinct parts (protective, wounded, managerial) and works toward a calm core Self that can lead from within, often used for trauma, anxiety, complex emotions, and long-standing internal conflict.

Nurse Practitioner Services

Mental health-focused primary care from our nurse practitioner team, including medication consultation and management, treatment planning, and coordination with your therapist, making it a strong fit when a care plan needs medical and therapeutic support side by side.
